O Deep Purple vai relançar Made In Japan em versão super luxuosa. O produto, que tem previsão de chegar ao mercado no dia 15 de agosto – exatamente 53 anos após a gravação da apresentação – pela Universal Music, terá o áudio remixado por Steven Wilson e Richard Digby Smith.
O trabalho estará disponível em 5CDs/Blu-ray, 10LPs e digital, além de uma versão 2LPs com os remixes de Steven Wilson.
Originalmente concebido para ser um lançamento exclusivo para o Japão, este álbum duplo ao vivo tornou-se um fenômeno global surpreendente. Lançado no Reino Unido em dezembro de 1972 e nos Estados Unidos em março do ano seguinte, Made In Japan alcançou disco de platina nos Estados Unidos e em vários países europeus.
O vocalista Ian Gillan, o guitarrista Ritchie Blackmore, o tecladista Jon Lord, o baixista Roger Glover e o baterista Ian Paice – a famosa formação do Mk II do Deep Purple – transformaram clássicos de estúdio como Smoke On The Water, Highway Star e Space Truckin’ em canções explosivas ao vivo.
